The Compassion Team’s purpose is to meet the critical and urgent financial needs of New City Church members and parents of students in our community schools in a way that honors God, in order to prevent financial loss that could lead to increased poverty. We are mindful at all times to preserve the self-esteem of everyone involved.

Sometimes we are able to give information about community resources – food pantries, transitional housing, etc. The individual can then pursue the best solution for them.

We have been able to assist with payments for: utility bills, medical bills, gasoline, insurance, part of rent and car repairs. If you find that you are getting along just fine financially and encounter an unexpected financial need with all expectation that after this all will again be just fine, please contact us.
