3 People God Used to Bring About Change
By Price Wright, Raytown Campus Pastor
Throughout history, God has used ordinary individuals to accomplish extraordinary things. Both in Scripture and beyond, we see how He calls, equips, and strengthens those who trust Him. Here are three people whose faith and obedience brought lasting change.
Daniel – Displayed Unwavering Faith and Trust in God
Daniel is one of my favorites. He exemplified excellence in life and leadership and brought about change through his unwavering faith, wisdom, and godly influence in a foreign land. Daniel's life shows that faithfulness to God can lead to transformation, even in a hostile culture. His influence reached multiple kings and empires, and his prophetic visions continue to inspire believers today. Through prayer, integrity, and courage, Daniel changed the world around him—reminding us that one faithful person can make a difference.
Esther – Boldness for Such a Time
Once an orphan, Esther rose to the position of queen, but her true legacy was her courage to save her people. When faced with a life-or-death decision, her cousin Mordecai urged her with these words: "Who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14). Her story reminds us that God places us in specific moments for a purpose, calling us to step out in faith and trust His plan. Will you trust his plan for your life?
Paul – From Persecutor to Preacher
Paul's transformation is one of the most powerful testimonies of God's grace. The letters of Paul have continued to affect the lives of all who embrace their teachings by the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul, Once a fierce persecutor of Christians, encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus and became one of the greatest missionaries in history. Paul's life proves that no one is beyond God's reach, and He can use even our past mistakes for His glory. God changed Paul to bring change to others, and that is very powerful!
God Can Use You, Too
These stories remind us that God doesn't call the qualified—He qualifies the called. That's not to say it doesn't mean we shouldn't aim for qualifications as the Spirit leads, but we shouldn't trust our qualifications for our trajectory; we must trust the God who created and designed us. No matter your background, weaknesses, or doubts, God can work through you to bring change in your family, workplace, and community. The question is—are you willing to say yes?
"The Lord is with you, mighty warrior." – Judges 6:12
Be encouraged! God is still writing history, and He wants to use you. Will you step forward in faith?
