A common enemy of generosity is fear. Fear tells you, "If you give, you won't have." That's what fear says.

But, in contrast, a companion of generosity is love. Love is a verb. We give because we love

Look at the tension between fear and love in 1 John 4.

"God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. 17 And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. 18 Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear.

God is love = God is a giver.
Fear is stingy

When you and I follow God we will naturally grow in our generosity.
When you and I follow God we have nothing to fear.

Perfect love expels ALL fear.
Let me help...
Perfect love = Jesus.
Jesus is perfect love! Jesus drives out all fear. When we live like Jesus we live fearless lives.
