Ladies, please join us for a potluck dinner and time to share what God has been doing in our lives. Plan to bring a dish to share: a main course, side dish, or a dessert. Also, consider sharing with your table or with the whole group something God has been doing or teaching you lately. Let's celebrate Him with thanksgiving! Join us for a delicious event where members of our congregation showcase their culinary skills and share their favorite chili recipes. It's a wonderful opportunity to come together as a church family, enjoy great food, and create lasting memories.

Chili Tasting: Taste a variety of homemade chili recipes prepared with love and creativity by church members.

Judging: Vote for your favorite chili in categories such as Best Traditional Chili, Most Creative Recipe, and Spiciest Chili.

Are you interested in Baptism? Would you like to take this next step in your faith? This event is for you. We will gather to discuss why baptism is important, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and share what to expect when you do get baptized. This class is lead by leaders of our Baptism team. There is no childcare available.

Let's open our driveways on Halloween for a safe place for friends, family, and neighbors to spend a fun night together! Hosting a Halloween Driveway Party can include a fire pit, hotdogs, candy, or hot chocolate for a fun idea to keep warm after a chilly night of trick-or-treating. New City will provide yard signs saying "This driveway hosted by New City," as well as candy or hot dogs for your driveway party (your choice between the two).

If hosting, your address will also be shared in New City Shawnee's Facebook community group as a "safe stop" for Halloween night. Please register your driveway online by October 18th so we know who is hosting! 

Join us for this community event to trunk-or-treat as well as enjoy a time with family and friends. Food will be provided as well as candy at the trunks. If you'd like to decorate a trunk or volunteer at this event, please register.

Free Food available for everyone on the fourth Saturday of every month! Distribution begins at 9:00 AM and runs till we are out of food (typically 10:30-11:00 AM). Arrive early and no ID required.

Come meet the new campus worship minister and enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship. The evening will be set around the fire pit. Tina will share stories and lead acoustic worship. All ages are welcome to attend. Bring your friends!

Leadership Community is for anyone currently serving on any of our ministry teams AND anyone currently looking to get plugged in! Be encouraged and hear what's happening in the upcoming month at the church and then break off to have a meeting with your ministry team. Childcare and lunch provided with registration.

The Argentine Betterment's Trunk-or-Treat event powered by New City Church KCK promises an evening of family-friendly Halloween fun! Join us for a safe and festive gathering where kids can trick-or-treat from car to car, each creatively decorated by community members and local businesses. Expect spooky and imaginative displays, candy galore, and plenty of Halloween spirit. Register to volunteer at this event.

Join us for a Fall cleanup. Fall cleanup involves a combination of practical maintenance tasks and aesthetic improvements, all aimed at ensuring the church is well-maintained and welcoming for its community. We will have tasks for everyone including the kids. Please sign up and let us know what tools you are able to bring.

You've heard of Galentines - well the ladies in the Shawnee Young Adults Ministry decided we need more than just one day a year to get together around some delicious breakfast food! Invite a friend and come hang out with the gals for a women's potluck brunch. Breakfast casserole and coffee will be provided. Please register and comment what you are planning to bring. We are excited to take Prayer and Praise to the Park for our last one of 2024! Join us at Erfurt Park in Shawnee as we go out into the Community for a time of fun, prayer and worship. We will have drinks and games to hang out in the park at 5:00 PM before the service begins at 6:30 PM. Come, bring family, friends, and neighbors to come relax and spend time in the presence of God. Please bring your lawn chairs.

Join us for an enlightening and engaging panel discussion and lunch where several experienced and dedicated parents will come together to share their experiences and insights on parenting in today's complex world. This faith-based discussion will tackle topics such as family discipleship, family relationships, sex, technology, discipline, and more offering you practical advice and heartfelt wisdom. 

Our panelists of parents will provide diverse perspectives and real-life examples on how they incorporate faith into everyday parenting and how they navigate the challenges of raising children in a fast-paced, technology-driven society. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with other parents and gain practical tools to strengthen and encourage you in your parenting journey.

Calling all artists, bakers, gardeners, and more! Join us for New City Church Raytown City Market Day! It's a day dedicated to celebrating local talent, delicious treats, and beautiful gardens.

Reserve a table just for you and showcase your amazing creations. There will be no vendor fees, so take advantage of this opportunity to share your passion with the community. Please note that there will be no electricity available, so plan accordingly.

IF Gathering 2024 revolves around the compelling theme "because of Jesus." This event is a vibrant gathering where women come together to explore and deepen their understanding of how Jesus transforms lives and shapes their identities, relationships, and missions. IF Gathering creates a supportive environment where women can celebrate the transformative power of Jesus and discover how to live purposefully and courageously "because of Jesus." It's a time of worship, learning, and fellowship, empowering women to embody and share the love and truth of Christ in their communities and beyond.
