Ladies, please join us for a potluck dinner and time to share what God has been doing in our lives. Plan to bring a dish to share: a main course, side dish, or a dessert. Also, consider sharing with your table or with the whole group something God has been doing or teaching you lately. Let's celebrate Him with thanksgiving! Let's open our driveways on Halloween for a safe place for friends, family, and neighbors to spend a fun night together! Hosting a Halloween Driveway Party can include a fire pit, hotdogs, candy, or hot chocolate for a fun idea to keep warm after a chilly night of trick-or-treating. New City will provide yard signs saying "This driveway hosted by New City," as well as candy or hot dogs for your driveway party (your choice between the two).

If hosting, your address will also be shared in New City Shawnee's Facebook community group as a "safe stop" for Halloween night. Please register your driveway online by October 18th so we know who is hosting! 

Leadership Community is for anyone currently serving on any of our ministry teams AND anyone currently looking to get plugged in! Be encouraged and hear what's happening in the upcoming month at the church and then break off to have a meeting with your ministry team. Childcare and lunch provided with registration.

Join us for a Fall cleanup. Fall cleanup involves a combination of practical maintenance tasks and aesthetic improvements, all aimed at ensuring the church is well-maintained and welcoming for its community. We will have tasks for everyone including the kids. Please sign up and let us know what tools you are able to bring.

Young Adult men, we invite you for a time fun, friends and football. We will be watching some college football and potentially playing some NCAA 25. If you are looking to connect and make some church friends, this is a great opportunity. We hope to see you there.

You've heard of Galentines - well the ladies in the Shawnee Young Adults Ministry decided we need more than just one day a year to get together around some delicious breakfast food! Invite a friend and come hang out with the gals for a women's potluck brunch. Breakfast casserole and coffee will be provided. Please register and comment what you are planning to bring. We are excited to take Prayer and Praise to the Park for our last one of 2024! Join us at Erfurt Park in Shawnee as we go out into the Community for a time of fun, prayer and worship. We will have drinks and games to hang out in the park at 5:00 PM before the service begins at 6:30 PM. Come, bring family, friends, and neighbors to come relax and spend time in the presence of God. Please bring your lawn chairs.

Students let's kick off MIDWEEK with some slip n' slide kickball! We will have hot dogs, chips, and drinks before and then have some fun playing water kickball! This is a great time for any new or interested students that are looking to get involved! We will have time to not only hang out but you'll be able to meet your small group leaders for the year! Feel free to invite a friend and we will see you on the grass.

Join us for a men's summer cookout! We will grill, fish (KS fishing license required), and fellowship. There is a 18 hole disc golf course near the Oak Shelter. If you would like to bring your own folding chair, fishing pole/bait, and disc golf items, you can enjoy all that the park has to offer. Black Hoof Park is a 160-acre park with a 35-acre, deep-water lake. The park is located at 9053 Monticello Road (93rd St and Monticello). Black Hoof Park offers a unique dam and spillway, paved and natural trails, restrooms, and a boat launch for small, non-motorized boats (KS boating permit required, if applicable). Experience beautiful nature and observe the wide variety of wildlife – deer, coyotes, red foxes, birds, butterflies, rattlesnakes, frogs and lizards in their natural habitats. Shoreline and class 1 or smaller boat fishing is allowed with a Kansas State Fishing License.

Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together! Calling all young adults to come and compete in some unique "Olympic" games! You don't need to be athletic to compete, we'll have events for everyone from trivia with a twist to accuracy and quick wits. Bring your game face and your favorite international food to share. Location will be shared after registration.
